Scott and Mikayla OWNED this session. I just sat back and snapped away. They were both naturals and barely needed any posing instructions from me. Well…other than the few times I had to tell them to STOP kissing! It was beyond cute to be a witness of their extreme happiness and genuine love for each other. It did not matter that it was a bone chilling 32 degrees with snow flurries and high winds — Mikayla stepped out in her stunning black dress without hesitation and she ROCKED it! And then there was Scott, looking handsome in his Navy uniform, and I joked with him that he had a modeling career in a different life — he was a natural! Beyond making my job easy, these two soulmates won my heart from the moment I met them, just 5 minutes before their session began. Scott & Mikayla are a true testament that love prevails even in great distances. She is currently living in Florida while he is stationed in the Navy in Virginia. Before this day, they hadn’t seen each other for 2 months!! WHOA! Of course that time gap worked in my favor for an engagement session filled with lots of canoodling 😉 Their genuine love for each other was undeniable and it was obvious they were beyond excited to be reunited. You can literally feel the love in their pictures! Scott & Mikayla — I am so glad that we crossed paths! It was a complete joy to spend the evening watching and documenting your love.
